Yao day-to-day with bruised knee

Will the Houston Rockets ever get their triumvirate back on the court together? Just as Ron Artest and Tracy McGrady are ready to return to the lineup, Yao Ming (姚明) has to sit out with a knee injury sustained in the Rockets' game at Indiana Friday. The injury is just a bruise, the Houston Chronicle reports, and Yao is day-to-day. He missed Sunday's game against Detroit and Monday's game against New York with the injury (While in New York, Yao met with 20 students from Sichuan province, who are living in various New York cities while their hometowns rebuild from earthquake damage).If there's any truth to rumors that Yao was griping about McGrady's frequent injuries--which would be pretty ridiculous for the often-wounded center to do--this latest news looks like karma, or at least irony.
